Terms of Use

Effective August 3, 2026

These terms cover your use of familyad.ventures and it's subsidiary sites and anything you use, buy or download from us. Please read them — using the site means you accept them.

01Accepting these terms

These terms are between you and Family Ad.ventures Inc., which also operates the affiliated education site creaturecurriculum.com. By visiting familyad.ventures, subscribing to our newsletter, or purchasing or downloading any of our guides, templates, or other digital products, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

02Who may use the site

You must be at least 18 (or have a parent's permission) to subscribe or make a purchase. You agree to give accurate information when you subscribe or buy, and to use the site in a way that is lawful and does not interfere with others.

03What this site is — and is not

Everything here is our family's experience, shared to help yours. It is informational only and is not professional travel, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice. Prices, itineraries, opening hours, entry requirements, and costs change constantly; always confirm details with the official source and your own advisors before you book or travel.

04Guides, templates, and digital products

When you buy a digital product from us, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own family's travel and learning. You may print it and share it within your household.

  • You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or publish our products, in whole or in part.
  • You may not use our content to train commercial AI models or to create a competing product.
  • You may not remove our branding or claim our work as your own.
  • Classroom, co-op, or team use requires a separate license — just ask us.

05Payments and refunds

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and payment is handled by our payment processor; we never see your full card details. Because digital products are delivered instantly, sales are generally final — but if a file is broken, wrong, or not what was described, email us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you.

06Our content and trademarks

All text, photos, video, illustrations, layouts, and the Family Ad.ventures Inc. name and logo are owned by us or used with permission and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may quote a short excerpt with clear credit and a link back. You may not republish our photos or full articles, or reproduce substantial parts of the site, without written permission.

07Anything you send us

If you send us a comment, photo, review, question, or trip report, you keep ownership of it but give us permission to display, adapt, and share it on the site and in our emails with credit where practical. Don't send anything you don't have the right to share, and don't send anything unlawful, hateful, or harassing.

08Affiliate links and sponsorships

Some links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Occasionally we work with brands or host sponsored content, and we label it clearly. Compensation never buys a positive opinion — we only recommend what we would use with our own six kids.

09Links to other sites

We link to outside sites, tour operators, retailers, and booking platforms for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, prices, availability, policies, or the way they handle your data.

10Travel involves risk

Travel — especially hiking, wildlife viewing, driving abroad, water activities, and travel with children — carries inherent risk. You are solely responsible for your family's decisions, safety, insurance, documents, and compliance with local law. Any itinerary or recommendation here is a starting point, not a guarantee of safety or suitability for your family.

11No warranties

The site and our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or accuracy. We do not promise the site will always be available, error-free, or up to date.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Family Ad.ventures Inc. and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost trips, bookings, money, or data, arising from your use of the site, our products, or any third party we link to. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months, or $50 if you paid nothing.

13Indemnity

You agree to hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the site or our products, or your breach of these terms.

14Suspending access

We may remove content, refuse service, or block access if these terms are violated or if we need to protect the site, our readers, or our family.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the site owners reside, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of that state unless the law requires otherwise.

16Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site grows. The effective date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
