Privacy Policy

Effective August 3, 2026

Family Ad.ventures Inc. is a media business that operates in the travel, media, education, marketing, advertising and online sales. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit familyad.ventures and its subsidiary sites, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep the amount of information we collect as small as we can.

01Who we are

Family Ad.ventures Inc. ("we", "us", "our") publishes family travel itineraries, trip costs, guides, and learning resources at familyad.ventures. We also operate the education site creaturecurriculum.com. You can reach us any time at media@familyad.ventures.

02Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the site and send the emails you ask for:

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us. We also record the date you subscribed and which page you subscribed from.
  • Messages you send us — the contents of any email or form message you choose to send.
  • Basic technical and usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate region, browser and device type, collected in aggregate by our hosting and analytics providers.
  • Account data — only if you are one of the site owners signing in to the editor. Visitors never need an account.

03How we use your information

We use your information to send the newsletter, promotional emails, and free resources you requested, to reply to your messages, to keep the site secure and working, and to understand which content is useful so we can make more of it. We also promote our content on social media and run marketing campaigns, and we use aggregate cookie and analytics data to measure how those campaigns perform. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use your email address for anything you did not ask for.

04Sharing with our affiliated site

We share information with our other education website creaturecurriculum.com, which is operated by Family Ad.ventures Inc.. If you subscribe here, we may tell you about relevant creaturecurriculum.com resources, and if you subscribe there we may contact you about family travel here. You can unsubscribe from either at any time, and we do not share your information with unrelated companies for their own marketing.

05Email and unsubscribing

Subscribing is opt-in. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately — you can also email us and we will remove you by hand. If you unsubscribe, we remove your address from our sending list; we may keep a minimal record that the address opted out so we do not accidentally email you again.

06Cookies and site analytics

We collect cookie data and site analytics data. Cookies are small files stored on your device, and we group them into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to load, stay secure, keep the site owners signed in to the editor, and remember your cookie choice. These are always on.
  • Analytics — aggregate measurement of page views, referring sites, approximate region, and browser or device type, so we can see which itineraries and guides are useful.
  • Marketing — measurement of our email and social media campaigns and, where enabled, more relevant content.

07Your cookie choices

When you first visit familyad.ventures you'll see a consent bar at the bottom of the screen where you can accept all cookies, reject everything that isn't strictly necessary, or open "Cookies Settings" and choose per category. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser — the site will still work. Email media@familyad.ventures if you'd like help.

08Services we rely on

A handful of trusted providers help us run the site, and they process data only on our behalf:

  • Website hosting and content delivery, which processes basic request data such as IP address in server logs.
  • Our database and authentication provider, which stores newsletter subscriptions and owner sign-ins.
  • Our email and form provider (Brevo), which stores subscriber addresses and enquiry form submissions and delivers our emails.
  • Our affiliated education site creaturecurriculum.com, as described above.
  • Embedded video from YouTube or Vimeo on some pages — when you play an embedded video, that provider may set its own cookies and receives your request. Their privacy policies apply to that playback.

09Affiliate links and recommendations

Some links to gear, stays, and tools are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you if you buy through them. Those merchants operate their own sites and handle any information you give them under their own privacy policies. We only recommend things our family actually uses.

10Children's privacy

This site is written for parents planning trips, and it is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

11How long we keep information

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Messages you send us are kept as long as they are useful for support, then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained in summary form and are not tied to your identity.

12Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Depending on where you live — for example, under the GDPR in the UK and EU or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may also have rights to data portability, to object to certain processing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Email media@familyad.ventures and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

13Where your information is processed

We are based in the United States, and our providers may store or process information in the United States and other countries. When information is transferred out of your country, we rely on our providers' standard contractual safeguards to protect it.

14Security

Subscriber data is stored in an access-controlled database, transmitted over encrypted connections, and reachable only by the two site owners. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share and we limit what we collect in the first place.

15Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the effective date above. Significant changes affecting subscribers will also be announced by email.

16Contact us
